My New Little Craft Club

A lady asked me if I could make a card for her friends 60th wedding anniversary. When I delivered the card she told me she makes cards herself but would really like to learn some new techniques as she is a beginner. I was very happy to do what I thought would be one afternoon for her and her two friends.
The first meet went so well that we decided to meet again the following week.
All three ladies are very keen to learn crafting and are all great people. I feel very honoured to be able to share my crafty knowledge with them and am lucky to have 3 great new friends. Thank you Olwyn, Phylis and Cynthia for making me so welcome.

My friend asked me to make a card for her husband and as he has a great SOH I thought I'd do a naughty one! I haven't done any decoupage for ages (addicted to stamping) but I really enjoyed putting this card together. I wanted it to resemble an outside toilet which many of us had many moons ago.

  • 5" x 7" Card Blank
  • Wood Effect Backing Papers (Boyes)
  • Words cut using Cricut machine

Wonderful Mother's Day!

I had the bestest Mother's day EVER and I was so spoilt!!!!! I woke to find my daughter Bec and her husband Rich cooking a full Engllish with all the trimmings to which my son Daniel was invited. I was given presents of Nesties (hearts), Magnolia, Tilda Stamps and Promarkers not to mention the flowers and chocs and to top it off a lovely framed photo of my two beautiful kiddie winks on Bec's weddding day! How lucky am I?
We went out for the day and finished off with a beautiful meal, suffice it to say I was a likkle tipsy when I got home!!!!! A very happy Mum. Thanks my darlings x

80th Birthday Easel Card

I spent a lovely sunny afternoon making this card for my BF's neighbour who is 80 next week. As she is a very sophisticated and glamorous lady I thought I do monochrome as that always looks smart. I really enjoyed making this card and it went really smoothly too. I just hope she likes it!

A Quick 'New Baby' Card

I have been wanting this lovely image from 'PINK GEM DESIGNS' for a while now and am really happy with the results, I'm so glad I got it, it's really cute and fab to colour.
I want to thank Karen (Redrottie) for the little flower stamp (I won her PIF Draw and this stamp was included), it has been so versatile and I have used it to personalise and to make background paper.

My BF Jill who lives in Spain is over in the UK and has been staying with me for a few days so its been a while since I uploaded.

I wanted to make a card to say Thank you and Thinking of you for my DC friend, Ginny who very kindly sent me some of her (much sought after) Poundland flowers. A Card for Harriet

  • Square black card blank
  • Backing paper (Pink Petticoat)
  • Anya Rubber Stamp
  • Sentiment Stamp (free with QCME mag)
  • Promarkers
  • Ribbon and charm
I made this card for my Great Niece, Harriet who is 13 today. I used my new MS punches (QVC) to edge the papers. I am not mad about Anya stamps and was toying with selling mine but after using her on this card I think I might have changed my mind!

Square white card blank
Rabbit Stamp (free with Quick Cards Made Easy - March 2010)
Happy Easter Sentiment Stamp (also free with QCME)
Flower Stamp (Studio g)
Rymans white coated card
Pink backing paper

I made this card quickly and inexpensively for my Daughters Goddaughter, Mia. I really like the rabbit stamp that was free with my subscription magazine, Quick Cards Made Easy and I created my own backing paper using a flower stamp that I won in the Pass It Forward Draw over on DoCrafts (thanks RedRottie).

Feeling Poorly!

No cards to add yet folks but I hope to remedy that ASAP. I'm a bit off colour and have an ear ache so haven't really had a constructive crafty weekend although I have a list as long as my arm!!!!!
I went to Lincoln on Saturday in search of the bargain papers at The Works and they haven't got any as well as Nottingham, it's turning into a wild goose chase (just like the pounland flowers) and so I am giving up before I become obsessed again!!!
I did try to start my marathan craft room tidy today but gave up after half an hour, my mojo has taken a hike!!!! I managed to cover two baked bean tins in pretty paper though so thats a start! (I am being brave and putting a pic of my CR on in its untidy state so that I can keep you updated as I transform it into a crafty Haven!!!)

DigiStamp Boutique: * Spring Candy * be quick!

First Post

I thought I'd better stop playing around with the layout and trying to phathom this blogging thingy and write a few words!

I'm a little unhappy today as I have a huge coldsore growing on my lip!!!!! It looks gross and hurts like hell and feels gigantic so there's nothing for it than to stay in my craftroom until it heals (great excuse).

I have just heard from a member on DCs that 'THE WORKS' are selling Crafters Companion envelope paper pack for £1.99 ( RRP: £19.99) that has to be BARGAIN OF THE DAY. I've got Rebecca on the case for tomorrow as I love love this paper, its great for embossing.

Well, thats me for tonight, me and my friend are off to bed (not a tall dark handsome man but just my ugly, painful coldsore!!!!!!).
